Montello Lions donate to Sheriff’s K-9

The Montello Lions Club presented a $1,000 check to the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office for their K-9 program.  Lion President Sharon Foley said that the money was raised at the annual fisheree.  Sheriff Konrath said that they are thankful for all donations made to the Sheriff’s office.  Plans are being made to purchase another K-9 to replace

New Regional Crops Educator is welcomed here

Marquette, Waushara, Adams and Green Lake counties now have the services of new Regional Crops Educator, working under the University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension program. Natasha Paris of Green Lake has filled that role, beginning this past June.

OWI arrest results from 3-vehicle crash

On Friday, August 5th, 2022, at 3:10 p.m., the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office received several 911 calls for a multiple vehicle crash with injuries west of Montello on STH 23 in the Town of Packwaukee.  A pickup truck traveling eastbound attempted to negotiate a curve, crossed the centerline, and struck a silver van and a small pickup truck,

Coloma Lions Install New Officers

On Monday, July 18, the Coloma Lions installed the officers for 2022-23.  The Coloma Lions have been active in the community for 50 years.  In fact, they will proudly celebrate their 50-year anniversary at the Community Appreciation Picnic on Monday, August 15.

Packwaukee’s Heritage Days Are Back!

On Saturday July 30th, Heritage Days celebration will return to Packwaukee’s Washington Square Park. There will be many activities taking place throughout the day including a gun raffle, bucket raffles, food and beverages, a bags tournament, dunk tank, free inflatable rides and other activities for the kids.
