Montello businesses and local non-profits will host the Montello Holiday Trail again this year on Saturday, November 19th. The trail unites local businesses and nonprofit organizations in promoting their events planned for this day.
Maps will provide the listing of all 14 locations on the trail along with details of the products and services each offers. Be sure to have your map stamped at each location. When you have received a stamp from 8 of the 14 locations, submit your map for a drawing for one of the beautiful door prizes. If you visit all 14 locations, you can submit your map for the grand prize drawing in addition to the other door prizes.
These businesses and organizations are participating in the holiday trail:
Montello Seniors at the Seniors Dome: 140 Lake Court (behind the Fire Station). Craft vendors, resale items, bake sale and food items available. 9am-3pm
The Rusty Star: 31 W. Montello St. A unique shop with a mixture of old and new. Stop in to take advantage of sales and specials throughout the store. 9am-5pm
Becca’s Variety Shop / Misfit Salvage: 1 Main St. Check out the eclectic gifts, home décor, and furnishings from over 20 Wisconsin artists, including handcrafted charcuterie boards, serving trays, and all your hosting needs! 9am-5pm
Table 15: 15 Main St. One of four new locations on the trail, they are hosting a variety of artists and vendors plus information on their new farm to table style restaurant. Vendors listed at this time include Anticipation Art, Color Street, KT’s Custom Creations, LJ Art Studio, Paparazzi Accessories, Scentsy, Sister Crafts and Timme Creations. 9am-5pm
Kathleen’s Flour Bin: 33 Main St. Come for baked goods, crafts and market featuring olive oil and balsamic bar, along with lattes and cappuccinos. Gift baskets and hourly drawings for freshly baked bread. 9am-4pm
Teapot Quilt Cottage and Garden Center: 505 Main St. The Garden Center will be all decked out for the holidays with lots of wreaths and holiday decorations, quilt items, jams, and other holiday gifts. Register for a drawing for a quilted table runner. 9am-4pm
Holliday Shopping Center: 326 Main St. Another new location - come to enjoy two levels of shopping where you’ll find something for everyone: gifts, clothing, hunting, fishing, hardware, pets, rentals, bait, gasoline. 5am-8pm
Montello Theater: 30 E. Montello St. Another new location. They’ll be giving historical 1880 theater tours every hour for $10 which includes a small popcorn and 10 minute silent film. Hot popcorn and concessions will be available all day. 9am-6pm
Readers Realm Books, Gifts and Whimsy: 147 E. Montello St. Check out all the books Kathleen has available plus 25% off all Lang Products: Calendars, Christmas Cards, Mugs & Gifts. 9am-4pm
HH Creations LLC: 227 E. Montello St. The final new location, check out the homemade specialty jams, and handcrafted fused glass items including jewelry, ornaments and more, plus gift baskets, homemade candies and baked goods. Any purchase enters you into a drawing for a gift basket. 9am-6pm
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church: 277 E. Montello St. The ladies of the parish will host many art and craft vendors along with craft items from the parishioners, a huge bake sale, raffles, the “Christmas Treasures Revisited Room” and food items. 9am-4pm
St. John’s Lutheran School: 313 E. Montello St. Usborne Book Fair and Thai Village Craft Fair, trade gift items, books, jewelry, household - plus the Montello FFA will feature their annual fruit/meat sale. Bake sale, snacks & more! 9am-4pm
Montello American Legion Post 351: W3008 State Hwy. 23 (east end of Montello). Shop craft vendors, bakery, and food items. Register for a $25 drawing. 9am-3pm
Trinity United Methodist Church: W3032 Fern Dr. (enter from Park Street, behind Crawford Funeral Home). Here you’ll find crafts, bakery decorated baskets, and a free raffle. Stop by to enjoy a delicious luncheon featuring homemade soup, sandwiches and desserts. 9am-3pm
Maps for the Holiday Trail are now available at any of the participating locations. Pick up your map in advance and plan your route; however, your map can only be stamped on November 19th. On that day, watch for the special Holiday Trail Christmas Trees and signs that will mark each location and then enjoy a day of fun shopping in Montello!
