Pioneer Fest comes to Westfield this weekend

The Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce is bringing a brand-new event to town this weekend, September 16th and 17th: Pioneer Fest, sponsored by Brakebush Brothers, Inc.

The event takes place at the Marquette County Fairgrounds and includes 2 days of family-friendly events. From noon to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, you can enjoy chainsaw carving demonstrations all day, along with scheduled lumberjack shows (admission: $10; 2 & under free) and kid’s camps after each show. Lumberjack shows take place at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and last approximately 1 hour.

On Saturday, start your day with a Lumberjack Breakfast from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. Events run from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and include more chainsaw carving demos all day, lumberjack shows (admission: $10; 2 & under free) at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., kid’s camps after each show, a K9 demonstration at 10:00 a.m., and finish up with music by the popular area band Best Practice from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.

Both days will include crafters, vendors, food trucks, drinks, businesses and more.
