Students at Montello High School have been extremely busy practicing for their first performance of “Les Miserables” on October 4th. “Les Misérables” tells the story of Jean Valjean, an ex-convict struggling for redemption in 19th-century France, while being relentlessly pursued by the lawman Javert. Valjean’s journey intertwines with the lives of Fantine, a struggling single mother, and her daughter Cosette, as they navigate poverty and social injustice. The story culminates in a student uprising, where Valjean fights to protect his adopted daughter’s love interest, Marius. Tickets are $10 per adult, $8 per student/senior, reserved seating online or purchase open seats at the door. Show dates are: Saturday, October 4th at 2pm and 7pm, Sunday, October 5th at 2pm, Thursday, October 9th at 7pm, and Sunday, October 12th at 2pm.
