Lots more ice fisheree action coming up!

January and February are big ice fisheree months in Marquette County, and if the ice holds up, there are plenty of events to choose from!

On January 28th, there are two big events: The Montello Lions Club presents its 40th Annual Lake Puckaway Fisheree, headquartered at Mike & Cathy’s Good Old Days on the north shore. You can also try the annual Brendan Wegner Memorial Fisheree on Lawrence Lake, headquartered at Tall Pines Resort on County E. Both feature fish and raffle prizes, food and beverages throughout the day.

As we head into February, watch for the Montello Rotary Meat Raffle & Fisheree at Rustic Saloon on February 4th; They’ll have all kinds of food, raffles and fun, located in front of Tall Pines Resort on County E. Also on Saturday, February 4, the 30th Annual Lawrence Lake Fisheree, sponsored by the Lawrence Lake Sports Club and Westfield Lions.

The Coloma Lions Club Fisheree on Pleasant Lake on February 11th, the 4th Annual Wood Lake Ice Fisheree sponsored by Crystal’s Wood Lake Supper Club on February 18th; the 68th Annual Oxford Lions Club Fisheree on the mill pond in Oxford on February 18; and the Josh Halverson Memorial Fisheree on Lake Mason, also February 18th.
