Oxford Lighted Christmas Parade 2022

The annual Oxford Lighted Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 3, beginning at 6:00pm.  This popular event will feature a variety of lighted entries parading west down Orms-by Street (Hwy 82) through the downtown area to celebrate the Christmas season.

Entries must be lighted and no live Santas will be allowed.  They will have a live Santa on a fire truck and don’t want to confuse the kids! This parade is all about the kids and the season of giving to all.

Lineup will begin at 5:30pm on S. Smith Street, staying north of East Chauncy, as well as on East Vallette St. going east towards S. John’s Lutheran Church.  (Rain date is Sunday, December 4th.) See their Facebook event page for more information.

Neshkoro Community Chorus Presents “Lights of December” Concert on December 3rd!

The Neshkoro Community Chorus presents its annual Christ-mas concert “Lights of December” on Saturday, December 3rd, at 5:15 pm.  The concert will be held at St. James Place in Nesh-koro.  This concert is dedicated to the memory of former co-director/co-founder of NCC Marilyn Brockopp, who passed away in 2020.

After a three year break due to the pandemic, we are very ex-cited to resume the tradition of performing Christmas concerts to our community and loyal audience!

Established in 2005 the NCC is made up of members who live in and around Neshkoro.  A number of our members travel from as far as Wautoma, Berlin, Princeton, Montello, Plainfield, Princeton, Redgranite and surrounding communities to participate in the choir.

This year’s concert features classics like ‘Winter Wonderland,’ ‘Let There be Peace on Earth’, ‘We Need a Little Christmas’ and more! To add fun and audience participation, we sprinkle some favorite audience sing-along favorite Christmas carols throughout the program.

Supported by the Neshkoro Enhancement committee and our audience members, we are constantly amazed by the response from the community and their attendance at our concerts.  Concerts are free to the public (a free will offering is taken at intermission).  Our audience knows to arrive early to find a good seat as we pack the house! A Christmas cookie and coffee reception will be held following the concert. We hope you can make time to be with us this year as we celebrate the season with beautiful choral music!
